Friends of Washington Market Park

The Friends of Washington Market Park is a non-profit neighborhood organization that produces free public events in the park and supports park restoration and improvements. We are supported by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation as well as private contributions and donations for use of the gazebo. The organization is governed by a 20-member Board of Directors and produces all its events with volunteer power and talent.

Meetings – The Friends of Washington Market Park

Meetings are held at the Downtown Community Center on the second Monday of every month at 7:15 p.m. We do not meet in August or December. The 2012 dates are as follows:
