Presenting Washington Market ART! The Court Mural by Todd James, was unveiled June 30th and will be on display until the autumn. Near the lawn, Pam Smilow gave the park picnic tables extra pizzazz.

The Friends of Washington Market Park is led by a 20-member Board of Directors who meet monthly to plan programs and events in the park, raise funds to support new park initiatives and oversee park improvements.

If you are interested in joining the Friends, or simply volunteering at one of our events, please send an email to info@washingtonmarketpark.org. We need creative and energetic Tribeca residents to join our efforts to make Washington Market Park one of the city’s most loved green spaces.

The Friends of Washington Market Park is a non-profit neighborhood organization that produces fun, free public events in the park and supports park restoration and improvements. We are supported by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation as well as private donations.

Opportunities exist for private citizens and corporations to enhance an event, beautify the park, or support community programs. Contributions are fully tax-deductible and may be made as tributes, dedications or anonymously.

Park Beautification
Grass for the park lawn: $20,000 annually
Sponsor a flower bed: $75-$3,000
Sponsor a tree: $100-$5,000

Free Tennis Clinics for Children: $200 per session
