The Friends of Washington Market Park is led by a 20-member Board of Directors who meet monthly to plan programs and events in the park, raise funds to support new park initiatives and oversee park improvements.

Contribute!
The Friends of Washington Market Park is a non-profit neighborhood organization that produces fun, free public events in the park and supports park restoration and improvements. We are supported by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation as well as private donations.

Opportunities exist for private citizens and corporations to enhance an event, beautify the park, or support community programs. Contributions are fully tax-deductible and may be made as tributes, dedications or anonymously.

Park Beautification
Grass for the park lawn: $20,000 annually
Sponsor a flower bed: $75-$3,000
Sponsor a tree: $100-$5,000

Community Programs
Ladybugs and crafts for Ladybug Day: $1000
Free Tennis Clinics for Children: $200 per session

Community Events
Summer Concert Series
Entertainment: $1000-$3000, per event
Sound engineer: $750, per event
Halloween Entertainment: $2000-$3000
Candy and crafts: $1000
Arcade Games: $500-1000
Hay Maze: $2,000
Holiday Chorus: $400
