Little Free Library

The Little Free Library in Washington Market Park is a place to exchange books. Share your favorite books and borrow others whenever you like!

Our park library box is painted bright red and located at the foot of the main park entrance near the lawn.

Little Free Library’s mission is the promotion of reading for children, literacy for adults, and the creation of libraries around the world. For more information, please visit www.littlefreelibrary.org.

We thank Four Way Books on Jay Street for bringing this wonderful program to our park. Our Little Free Library was installed in October 2015.

Our seven Frank Ape's Picnic murals were painted by world-renowned contemporary artist Brandon Sines in May 2023.
