The gazebo may be reserved for events of fewer than 50 people through The Friends of Washington Market Park. All reservations are made on a first come, first served basis via this webpage. To request a gazebo reservation, select a date and time in the calendar below then complete the form.
- Gatherings of fewer than 20 people only require an approved reservation with the Friends of Washington Market Park via this webpage.
- Gatherings of 20 to 50 people require a reservation with us as well as a Special Events Permit from the NYC Parks Department. Be advised: their approval turnaround is between 3-6 weeks.
The gazebo is available during normal park hours and may be reserved for a maximum of two hours. Set-up and clean-up must be done within the two-hour block allotted to each reservation holder. Please read the full gazebo terms and conditions here.
A donation of $200 is suggested for use of the gazebo. All donations are tax-deductible and help to fund free community events as well as beautification projects in Washington Market Park.
Once you have clicked the submit button for the form on the left, you will receive an email from our volunteer gazebo coordinator within seven days.
If your event is approved and you expect 20-50 guests, you must then apply for a Special Events Permit from the NYC Parks Department. This Parks permit may take up to six weeks to process.
