About the Park

Washington Market Park is open daily from 7am until dusk.

The park is located in the Tribeca neighborhood of Lower Manhattan on Greenwich Street between Duane and Chambers streets. The main entrance is on Greenwich Street at Duane Street. Click here to see a map.

The Friends of Washington Market Park is a non-profit neighborhood organization that plans free public events in the park and supports park restoration and improvements. Our events include the summer concert series, spring and fall planting days for children, a Halloween parade and party, as well as seasonal parties throughout the year.

The Friends of Washington Market Park also books the gazebo for parties and events for a suggested donation that supports our events and the community garden.

For information on booking the gazebo, please email gazebo@washingtonmarketpark.org.

*Please note our lawn area will be closed for annual re-sodding during the months of April-May.  Our lawn usually reopens at the beginning of June.

For information about joining the community garden, please email garden@washingtonmarketpark.org.

Tennis court reservations are made by signing up morning-of at the park house, located in the northwest corner of the park. The basketball court is available always on a first-come, first-served basis.
